Two Computers – One mouse and keyboard

I run both Mac and Windows machines at home. After forking out 100$ for an Ultimate DAS Keyboard, I want to use it for both my computers. There are several tools to do this, after a test-drive the best tool appears to by Synergy.

Synergy makes it effortless to share a mouse and keyboard between Mac and Windows. It has a simple GUI for configuring clients and server screens:

  • Mouse without borders – Slick product, but only supports Windows.
  • ShareMouse – Supports Mac and Windows, but requires a fee. It feels a bit overly flashy. It darkens one screen when going to the other and plays an ¬†animation when moving between screens.
